The North Bay & District U14 AAA Trappers hosted the Nickel Capitals on the weekend, resulting in two losses.
Despite the scoreboard, the fans in the stands were treated to a stellar performance by goaltender Carson Ruddy in game one.
Keeping it close, Ruddy gave his team an opportunity to challenge the Capitals.
Falling short, and having difficulty finding the net, the Trappers fell 2-0 to the Caps.
Aydin Beharie broke shut out hopes for the Capitals' goalie in game two, with help from forward Mason Fike.
Beharie's goal was not enough to bring the Trappers a win.
Taking a break from league play, the Trappers head to the Big Nickel Tournament this weekend in Sudbury.
