The U14 Trappers opened the Show Case with a 6-0 loss to the Soo, despite several successful penalty kills and an impressive pace to the game.
Game two had the Trappers meeting up with the Nickel City Sons, resulting in an 8-3 loss. Michael Dech opened the scoring for the Trappers, with Mason Fike and Cameron Lockhart adding to the tally.
Defenseman Sam Rivet assisted Fike’s goal, while Dech was credited with an incredible assist to Lockhart at the side of the net, following a two-man rush.
Game 3 saw the Trappers closing the gap, with a 4-2 loss to the Nickel City Capitals.
Ben Brunton opened the scoring for the team with a quick release, after picking up the puck from Ethan Roy’s faceoff win. Michael Dech added to the score during a scramble in front of the Capitals’ net minder, for his second goal of the weekend.
