Swain gets three firsts at Midland Track and Field Meet

Chippewa's Sarah Swain led the way with 3 first place finishes at a High School Track and Field meet in Midland on Friday. Swain finished on top in the senior girls 100m hurdles, pole vault and the 100m sprint.

Swain finished on top in the senior girls 100m hurdles, pole vault and the 100m sprint.

Chippewa's Luke Udeschini finished in first place in both the junior boys 100m hurdles and the 300m hurdles. He also came second at his first pole vault competition.

Lindsay Goodridge finished 3rd in the senior girls’ 100 sprint and was in the top three in the 100m hurdles.
Adam Birosh finished in second place in the senior boys’ pole vault and he came 8th in the senior boys’ javelin.

A pair of Raiders did well in the Midget division as well.

Aaron Birosh came second in his first attempt ever in the midget boys’ 300m hurdles and he had a strong finish in the 100m hurdles, while Madison Fraser finished in third place in the midget girls’ 1500m and had a great personal best in the 800m.

Other top ten finishes include Alison Fung who came 7th in the senior girls’ 100m sprint and Heather Stuart who finished in 9th place in Senior girls’ javelin.
