Skyhawks Edge Black Bears

The North Bay Skyhawks scored three times in the opening period and hung on for a 5-4 road victory over the Northern Michigan Black Bears in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan Friday night.

Adam Cook, Quinn Waller, Ian Carlson, Ken Peroff and Aaron Assinewei scored for the Skyhawks.

Former West Ferris Trojans defenceman Ken Peroff enjoyed his best game as a junior scoring the tying goal near the 8 minute mark of the third period and setting up Aaron Assinewei for the winning goal less than four minutes later. Peroff was named the game's first star.
