The Ontario Volleyball Association hosts the top athletes in the U14 age group every year at a High-Performance Training Camp.
The top players at their age group throughout Ontario, representing 6 different regions, are selected to receive high-level and intense coaching from some of the top coaches in the Province.
A total of six 14U Vision Volleyball Club members have been invited to attend an Ontario Volleyball Association High-Performance Training Camp which included the top players at their age group throughout the province.
14U Vision players selected include Julia Dokis, Grace Clarke, Ally Dech, Audrey Ouellet, Karine Schryer, Caitlyn Labelle along with Jude Caruso who represented the boy's team.
The week long camp takes place at Guelph University. The Vision 14UG is one of the top 10 teams in Ontario.
The camp brings together all of the top players in Ontario to train, learn, bond, grow and compete, under some of the top coaches in the Province. It is an amazing experience that has had great success adding members to the National Team volleyball programs. It is the envy of the rest of the country as these athletes get to develop and compete under some outstanding coaches. Coaches also learn from each other while under the direction of two of the top youth development coaches. Former Canadian National player and OVA Hall of Fame Coach Keith Wasylik and Chris Lawson, former Head Coach for the Waterloo Worriers.
This year, Vision Volleyball also sent a coach, Tessa Alyman. Tessa made her first high-performance coaching debut.
She is an Assistant Coach with the Vision 15UG team, under Head Coach Danny Gosselin, who is also the Head Coach of the 14UG team.
Danny was also a mentor coach at the 15UG High-Performance Camp held earlier this summer.
The Vision Volleyball Club is extremely proud of their player development programs and will continue to work hard educating their coaches to increase player development and add players to high-level Regional and Provincial team programs.
