Last year we told you about the North Bay area's ice cross mother and son duo of Michelle and Sonic Mulder.
The Mulder's take part in competitive ice cross racing through the U.S. Ice Cross Association.
On February 1, they both had impressive results at an event at Mont du Lac Resort in Superior, Wisconsin.
Sonic Mulder finished third in the time trials but fourth overall in the Junior event.

However, the special event came for Michelle Mulder as she was able to finish second and capture a silver medal in the women's event.
Mulder was so thrilled to share her success with Sonic who is in his second season competing in Ice Cross.
"Sonic congratulating me after as I crossed the finish line was amazing," she said.
"It is the first time I had family at a race to celebrate with, it was a special moment."
Michelle Mulder hopes the celebrations continue as their next race is at Lost Valley ski resort in Auburn, Maine from February 14 to 15.
