Some good news for a pair of Battalion players as the National Hockey League released its final rankings for the NHL Entry Draft which takes place this June in Buffalo.

Battalion defenceman Cam Dineen, ranked 117th in the mid term rankings, skyrocketed to 39th among North American rankings.

Dineen has 8 assists in 10 playoff games with the Troops, while the New Jersey native recorded 13 goals and 46 assists for 59 points in 68 regular season games.

"It’s exciting seeing my name that high, but it still doesn’t mean much,” Dineen told Battalionhockey.com

“I just have to keep working hard and see what happens. Right now, I’m just focused on playoffs.”

His teammate Justin Brazeau continues to intrigue scouts with his large frame. The 6’4” New Liskeard product moved from 207th in the mid term rankings to 179th in the final rankings which were released on Tuesday.

“It’s a great feeling to be recognized for all my hard work this season,” said Brazeau to Battalionhockey.com.

“It will definitely help boost your confidence whenever you’re recognized by people from the next level. Now I just have to keep working hard and see what happens.”

Battalion German import forward Max Kislinger fell from 194th in North American Skaters to just outside the top 230.

2014 Battalion third round pick Cam Morrison, who is playing for Youngstown in the USHL, has moved to 46th in the final rankings from 59th at the mid term.

Morrison had 34 goals and 32 assists for 66 points in 60 games with the Phantoms in 2015-16.  The Aurora, ON product is expected to join the University of Notre Dame in the fall of 2016.

Meantime former North Bay Midget AAA Trappers goaltender Colton Point, currently playing in with the Carleton Place Canadians of the CCHL, has jumped from the 17th rated North American goaltender all the way to the fourth spot.

Former Battalion and North Bay  Jr. Trappers netminder Evan Cormier of the Saginaw Spirit, fell from seventh in the mid term rankings to 11th in the final rankings.
