The 2023 Alpine Ontario O-CUP Ski Cross Provincials took place this weekend at Beaver Valley Ski Club, with athletes attending from across the province.
The event saw a strong contingent from Elite Alpine Ski Cross (EASX) led by Coaches Jason Sullivan, Rod Adamson, and Samantha Brooks, who put up a fantastic performance and made their presence felt throughout the competition.
The ski cross event saw some intense competition with athletes competing head-to-head in a race down a winding course of features, jumps, turns, and rollers. Elite Alpine Ski Cross' athletes shone brightly throughout the competition.
Head Coach Jason Sullivan was impressed by the team's performance.
"I am extremely proud of our athletes," he said in a release.
"They have been training hard despite the mild winter conditions and showed their skills and dedication throughout the competition."
Coach Rod Adamson added, "Congratulations to all athletes, parents, and grandparents. It was an excellent event, and everyone became stronger in the pursuit of excellence; braver, more focused, thinking more about the 'what' and how that makes a difference. It was inspiring."
A special shout-out to all of Elite Alpine Ski Cross' coaching staff, including Doug Linklater, Dagmar D'Agostino and Amanda Farrell.
