The North Bay Battalion has added two future picks in return for a second-round choice in the OHL Priority Selection this April, the club announced Tuesday.
North Bay got second- and fourth-rounders in 2028 from the Saginaw Spirit in exchange for a second in 2025 that originally belonged to the Brantford Bulldogs.

The selections received from Saginaw both originated with the Erie Otters.
The Battalion holds its own second-round pick and has a total of 17 selections in the 15-round process.
“With the number of quality young players that complement our other returnees, we felt it was important to rearrange our pick grid so we can set ourselves up appropriately as we move ahead with this group and plan for the future,” said Adam Dennis, Battalion director of hockey operations on Battalionhockey.com.
The swap of picks comes recently after the Troops unloaded right winger Anthony Romani and overage left winger Owen Van Steensel to the Barrie Colts for right winger Parker Vaughan, who was Barrie’s first-rounder, fifth overall, in 2024, overage centre Zach Wigle and four conditional selections.
The trade of picks comes days before the OHL trade deadline. The overage deadline is noon on Thursday, January 9 while the overall deadline is Friday, January 10.
North Bay returns to action when it plays host to the Kingston Frontenacs at 7 p.m. Thursday.
