The Algonquin Barons jumped out to the lead in the NDA senior basketball finals as they defeated the St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears 53-42 in the opening game of the best-of-three series.
The Algonquin Barons opened the junior basketball final with a 69-60 versus the Franco-Cite Patriotes. The Barons win events the series at 1-1 with game three taking place at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Franco-Cite.
