North Bay Apollo Gymnastics Men's Gymnastics Program competed at the Xperience Gymnastics White Water Invitational May 26, in Pembroke. The 5 member team earned 20 medals including 2 gold and 1 bronze in the all-around standings and an additional 17 medals on individual events; 4 gold, 5 silver and 8 bronze.
In the all-around category Abraham El-Kaissi and Morgan Tignanelli were awarded gold medals and Mallek Mohamed earned the all-around bronze medal.
Individual highlights for the team included Soren MacVicar earned 2 bronze medals on rings and parallel bars with a score of 9.5. Sam Deschateletes also earned bronze on parallel bars with a score of 9.55. Mallek Mohammed was awarded 3 individual medals including bronze on parallel bars and vault and silver on pommel horse with a score of 9.6.
Abraham El-Kaissi was awarded gold medals on pommel horse and vault with a score of 10.2, silver on parallel bars and bronze on rings and high bar. Morgan Tignanelli earned gold medals on floor and pommel horse, silver medals on rings, high bar and vault with a score of 9.95 and bronze on parallel bars.
