Doug Windsor died peacefully, on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Cassellholme, North Bay. He was 87 years old.
Doug was the beloved father of Steven of Westerose, AB and Lisa of Leduc, AB. He was predeceased by his parents Pearl Etta (Yerkie) and Horace Oliver Windsor, as well as his former wife Lenora June (Jardine).
Doug started Windsor Esso at the Four Corners in Loring, Ontario where he worked as a mechanic and sold gas. His parents Horace and Pearl continued running the well-known operation selling gas, bait, and recycling bottles for many years. Doug was a well-known heavy equipment mechanic and operator at John Deere Industrial Equipment and also drove truck when servicing or delivering equipment.
Cremation has taken place. Doug’s family will celebrate his life privately, no public services will be held.
