May 12, 1952 – December 8, 2024

Our hearts are deeply saddened by the loss of Sharon Rita Webster (72 years old). Our lives will be forever changed when our dear wife, mom, Nana, sister, Auntie, cousin and friend left this world on Sunday December 8, 2024. Her loving family and friends did not leave her side. They retold stories from the past, thanked her for her unconditional love, and the lessons she taught us. Sharon took her last breath with her loyal, devoted husband, Byron, and her best friend, Sandi, by her side.

Sharon loved life to the fullest and always had the biggest smile on her face. She never missed an opportunity to tell her loved ones how much they meant to her. Her door was always open for anyone to drop by. Jane, her lifelong friend, fondly remembers Sharon saying, “Come on over! It’s nothing to throw a roast in the oven.” Sharon always had a listening ear or time to reminisce about good times. She will be known as the lady who always lent a helping hand to those in need. Sharon would deliver meals or fresh baking or buy groceries for people who were struggling. She always put others before herself and she was a blessing to everyone.

She was very involved in her church community. Her love for Jesus was apparent as she was happy to share the Good News to people. Sharon taught Sunday school and helped wherever needed. She had the gift of hospitality and served on the Hostess Committee at different churches. Sharon assisted with church luncheons and a variety of socials. She and her sister, Carol, used to sing for the worship service. Today she is with her Lord and Saviour, dancing and singing on the streets of gold.

Sharon loved her family cottage where she cooked for her husband, daughters and grandkids. We were always welcomed for meals and there was always more food if we brought a friend or neighbour. She enjoyed canoe rides around the lake with her loving, caring husband. Sharon always had a reason to laugh, and her laughter was contagious. Her laugh was unique and was heard from a mile away. Sharon was the life of the party and her stories left people in stitches. When people left, their cheeks and stomach were hurting from laughing for hours. She held the best Christmas Parties as she spent weeks baking squares and cookies. We will remember her standing beside the piano and singing her favourite Christmas song, “Silver Bells.” Sharon loved the Christmas season with the white lights shining brightly and the snow glistening in the moon light.

Sharon leaves behind her husband, Byron (married 51 years); daughters Charlotte, Emilie, Andrea (Scott); grandchildren Julia, Molly, Liam, Sterling, Emerik, Gavin, Travis; siblings Danny (Jeannine), Carol, Stephen; sister-in-laws Suzanne, Cheryl, Mary (Gerry). She is predeceased by her parents, Lister and Rita, and brothers Robert and David (Rachel) and parents-in-law Leonard and Florence. She will be greeted with Heavenly open arms from her parents, brothers, Sandy and Melissa. Sharon was a kind and thoughtful friend who knew how to make you feel loved and cared for. She kept in contact with many people by her letters, weekly phone calls, and weekends get togethers.

We want to sincerely thank Dr. Collins, Dr. Jinnah, and all the wonderful staff on A1 floor at the North Bay Regional Health Centre. We appreciate the compassion, empathy and unconditional support towards the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North Bay Food Bank or NBRHC Foundation Mental Health.

On Saturday December 14, 2024, at Calvary Church, the visitation line will be from 11:00AM-12:30PM. A service will take place at 1:00PM and a luncheon will follow at Calvary Temple Church, 271 Ski Club Road, North Bay. Her family invites all friends and extended family to join them to remember our beautiful Sharon. She truly made a difference in people’s lives. Sharon left an imprint on the hearts of many children and people. She will be missed by all and her memory will live on through everyone.
