It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Dot (Dorothy Aveline) Wagner, peacefully, at Oak Lodge in Sudbury on Sunday December 10th, 2023, in her 90th year.
Dot is the loving mother of Keith, Ian, Gail (Phil) and Mark. She is survived by her sister, Raymonde Richardson (Frank) and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Lucie and Gisele and her parents Frank and Bernadette. Dot will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Dot loved children, dogs and all things athletic, especially golf and skiing. Dot took up skiing in mid-life and shortly thereafter became a ski instructor, teaching skiing into her seventies.
The family thanks Dr. Hayes and the team at Oak Lodge for the wonderful care they provided to “Dottie” and for their ongoing support during her time there. As well, the family thanks the BSO staff and all those who cared for Dot while she was a resident at Cassellholme.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
