Donnie died peacefully in his sleep, at his home in Powassan on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. He was 82 years old.
Donnie was the beloved husband of Cheryl (Moore) of Powassan and much-loved father of Sonya Whittaker of Barrie. He was predeceased by his daughter Lana Wagner (1967-1989), his parents Doris (Chapman) and Hugo Wagner, and his siblings Shirley Rich (late Richard) and Reg Wagner.
Donnie was retired from a long career with the Ministry of Transportation in North Bay. He was a longtime member of the Powassan Lions Club and was well known for his jolly personality and musical ability.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Donnie’s memory to Nipissing Serenity Hospice would be appreciated.
