TREMBLAY, George Cameron

Passed away at the North Bay Regional Hospital on May 3rd 2014 at the age of 87 . George is survived by his nephews Reginald, David, Noel (Blanche-Hélene), Peter (Deborah), and Brian (Carol), and his niece Anne (Paul Pedersen). Predeceased by his father Alexandre Tremblay, his mother Yvonne Bertrand, and his brother Noel (Edith). George had a passionate career as a Motion Picture Projectionist (1st Class) at the Capitol Centre, the Odeon, and the Champlain theatres in North Bay, the Regent in Brockville and Chapleau, and the Rio at Creighton Mine. He and his brother Noel founded Ontario Film Laboratories, Polar Camera Centre and Photo Metro in North Bay. George was a third degree Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, as well as a member of the Fourth Degree, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 23. George's family will receive visitors at the McGuinty Funeral Home on Monday May 5th from 7-9 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Name of Jesus Church on Tuesday May 6th at 10 am. Cremation will follow.
