It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished mother and “nana” Nadine Stack at the age of 87 on November 14, 2024 at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice.

She was born on July 13, 1937 in North Bay, Ontario to Hugh and Myrtle (nee Whissler) Loudon.

Nadine was known for her unwavering love of her 3 children (Shaun, Shannon and Shelly) and 3 grandchildren (Cara, Cody, and Aaron). She was a devoted sister to Joyce (Fraser) and aunt to nephews Trent and Curtis Fraser.

Nadine was an empathetic and compassionate nurse at Lady Isabelle nursing home for more than 20 years. The best, dignified care for her residents was always her top priority.

She was an excellent cook and baker. Her family often got to enjoy “nana’s” delicious creations. Her passion and legacy will live on through her recipes.

To her delight, near the end of her life two treasured great-grandchildren (Edelyn and Tucker) arrived. She loved nothing more than singing to them, telling them stories, and simply giving them kisses and cuddles.

Nadine was given the exceptional gift of 87 years and we were lucky to share in her light, laughter, generosity, and perspectives on life. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.

Respecting Nadine’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.

Nadine cared about those most vulnerable to inequity and injustice, people and animals alike. In lieu of flowers, please do something kind for an older adult, a child or a pet in her honour. With this in mind, donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice or a charity of your choice would also be welcomed.
