It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our brother Peter. Peter passed away from complications after surgery at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto on Monday, September 30th at the age of 71.
He is survived by his sister Susan Knight (Harvey) and brothers Jim Soule (Cathy) and Chris Soule (Sherry). He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews; Kevin Knight (Fiona), Stephen Knight (Leigh-Ann), Penny Gagnon (Denis), Jamie Soule (Melissa), Kristie Deforge (Richard), Jessica Soule, and great nieces Morgan & Meghan Knight and Issy & Ellie Gagnon. He was predeceased by his parents, Elroy (Bud) and Frances, sister Sandi Morton (Jack) and brother Patrick
Peter graduated from Widdifield Secondary High School and went to work on Trans Canada Pipeline and Atlas Testing. Once he retired you could find him working at Home Depot.
Peter enjoyed his retirement golfing and fishing on Lake Nipissing. He was an avid Blue Jays fan and in the winter you would find him at Memorial Gardens watching the Battalion as season ticket holder.
We are sincerely thankful for the care the doctors provided to Peter during his stay and have no words to describe the care and compassion that the nurses at Sunnybrook showed to Peter and his family.
In keeping with Peter’s wishes, there will be no funeral, and the family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
