Schrader, Jocelyne (nee St-Pierre)

(April 08, 1937 – April 15, 2016) - Jocelyne passed away at Cassellholme Long Term Care home, in North Bay, Ontario, on Friday, April 15th, 2016 at the age of 79 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband Churchill Schrader and by parents Rita and Alfred St-Pierre. Survived by sister Carmen Fitzpatrick (Keith) and brothers Daniel (Audrey) and Lionel (Connie). She was a wonderful mother to Theresa and Robert, and doting grandmother to Markus. She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, godchildren and cherished friends. Jocelyne loved to sew and made countless dresses for children in less fortunate areas of the world. As well, she knitted hats for premature babies in the North Bay hospital and could be counted on to make various crafts for local bazaars and fund raisers. Jocelyne was also active in volunteer efforts within the communities she lived (North Bay, Ontario and Liverpool, Nova Scotia), and received numerous awards and accolades for her efforts. Family receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES, 362 Airport Rd, on Sunday April 17th from 6 until 8 pm. A funeral mass will be conducted by nephew Father Tom Fitzpatrick, at the Pro Catherdral of the Assumption on Monday April 18th, 2016 at 10 am. Interment at St Mary’s Cemetery will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Cassellholme for the outstanding care given to Jocelyne during her brief time there. Special thanks go out to the staff who lovingly cared for Jocelyne during her time at Castle Arms.
