With broken hearts, we sadly announce the tragic and sudden passing of Jesse Clay Ryan (March 9, 2025).

Born on August 21, 1990, in Kirkland Lake Ontario, Jesse was the third born and eldest son of Todd Ryan and Susan Ryan (Turner).

Happy, funny, rambunctious and tenacious as a child, Jesse always gave his all in sports, school and anything else he set his mind to. He excelled as an athlete, and was a coach’s dream, always giving 100% with no fear, and refusing to ever be out-hustled.

In his teens, he decided school was not for him and spent years trying to find his way. During this time and into his young adult years, he did have his struggles. He was however able, through dogged determination, to turn his life around. Jesse was always a reliable and very hard worker, and we were very proud of his success and the great man he had become. He was the proud and loving father to his two boys, Jack and Myles. They were truly the light in his life, and nothing brought more joy and love to his heart, than his boys.

Jesse sadly struggled mightily through the last year, but recently had been working extremely hard again to get his life back on track, only to succumb to the darkness.

Predeceased by his grandparents Gilbert and Constance Ryan, and Curtis and Arlene Turner, Jesse is also survived by his siblings Katee (Robb), Rebecca, and Nolan (Ashley), and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

We will remember Jesse as a proud, kind and loving soul, and will never forget his beautiful smile and joyful laugh. He will be sorely missed by all and will be forever in our hearts.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association, North Bay and District, in Jesse’s honour would be greatly appreciated. Online condolences can be made at www.mcguintyfuneralhome.com

“Those We Love Don’t Go Away”

Those we love don’t go away,

They walk beside us every day,

Unseen, unheard, but always near,

Still loved, still missed and very dear.
