Morley passed away peacefully in his wife’s arms surrounded by family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Saturday January 25th, 2025, at the age of 90 years. He will be deeply missed and always loved by his family. Beloved husband of Marie, and loving father of Kim (Peter), and Debbie (Michael), cherished grandpa to Erin, Scott, Ryan, and Alex (Meghan). Predeceased by his father Charles Rogers, and mother Lucy (nee Sherk) Rogers, his brothers, Royden, Lorne, Ralph, and his sisters Shirley, and Gerry.
Morley was a devoted husband to his wife Marie of 66 years. He was a loving father, awesome grandpa and a great brother, uncle and friend to many. Morley was a skilled auto technician at BF Goodrich for 33 years. In his off hours he loved to fish and hunt but especially fish at our family cottage on Georgian Bay. He loved the cottage, which he built with help from Marie and their friends and enjoyed it for 34 years. After moving to Corbeil, Morley focused on his woodworking and carvings and was an active member of the Golden Age Club that he and Marie were part of for many years. Also, an active member of the Church, he was always available to help out. Although Morley and Marie spent over 20 years going to Florida every winter, they made up time when they were home with all their friends and activities. There aren’t many people who haven’t received help from Morley to fix something or build something. He had a brilliant creative mind and his life’s work reflected that.
As per Morley’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at Christ Church (North Bay) on Saturday March 22, 2025, at 2:00 pm. Special thanks to the dedicated staff of B1 at North Bay Regional Health Centre for their care and compassion during this time. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or St. Peter’s Anglican Church (Callander) would be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
