It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lucille Regimbal on Wednesday February 10th 2016 at the age of 89. Survived by her brother Joseph Regimbal. Pre-deceased by her parents, Dona Leo and Emma Regimbal and sisters and brothers Gertrude, Germaine, Albert, Sylvio, Maurice, Roger, Pauline, Jean Paul, Jacqueline and Raymond. A lifetime resident of North Bay Ontario with strong roots in the Francophone Community , Lucille was a woman of great faith and a strong supporter of the French Catholic parish. Retired from the Faculty of Education of Nipissing University, Lucille, a passionate educator, worked vigilantly to support French as a Second Language (FSL) educators in northern Ontario and throughout the province. Lucille also helped establish La Fondation du Père Jean Paul Regimbal in Granby Quebec to continue the teachings of the love of Christ through the publications of Father Jean Paul's archived seminars and public speaking events. A dedicated friend to many, Lucille was a most hospitable host to all with a caring and generous heart. She thoroughly enjoyed finding reasons for gatherings and celebrations. She will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and friends. Visitations will be held at McGuinty Funeral Home on Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the afternoon and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass to be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Church on Monday February 22, 2016 at 11 am. Lucille Regimbal est décédée subitement le mercredi 10 février 2016 à l'âge de 89 ans. Elle laisse dans le deuil son frère Joseph Regimbal. L'ont prédécédé ses parents Dona Léo et Emma Regimbal , frères et soeurs Gertrude, Germaine, Albert, Sylvio, Maurice, Roger, Pauline, Jean Paul, Jacqueline et Raymond. Résidente de North Bay depuis son enfance, Lucille était pleinement engagée dans la communauté francophone. On la connaissait aussi comme femme de grande foi qui appuyait sa paroisse catholique française. Lucille, une enseignante dévouée, retraitée de la faculté d'éducation de l'Université Nipissing, a longuement travaillé à former les enseignants du français langue seconde dans le nord de l'Ontario et à l'échelle de la province. Lucille a aussi oeuvré à l'établissement de la Fondation du Père Jean Paul Regimbal à Granby Québec - en vue de continuer à promovoir l'amour du Christ par la publication des documents archivés du Père Jean Paul. Lucille était d’un très grand coeur, toujours des plus accueillantes et une grande amie dévouée. Elle trouvait raison d'organiser des fêtes et des réunions à tout propos pour le plaisir de tous. Lucille laisse dans le deuil plusieurs neveux et nièces, petits neveux et nièces et amis. Lucille Regimbal sera exposée le dimanche 21 février 2016 au salon McGuinty à North Bay. Les heures de visite seront de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h.Les funérailles auront lieu à 11 h, le lundi 22 février 2016, en l'Église de St-Vincent de Paul.
