It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Victor Lucien Proulx, who surrounded by his loving family, passed away peacefully at Nipissing Serenity Hospice on March 11, 2025, at the age of 90.

A father and husband above all, Victor found his greatest joy in his family. He shared a deep and loving bond with his wife, Claire (nee Barber), was a dedicated father to Carol, Debra (Wayne), Donald (Carm), and Sandra (Calvin), a beloved grandfather to Jonathan (Agnieszka), Michael (Sarah) and Zoé (Daniel) and cherished great grandfather to Olivia, Layla, Chlöe and Grayson. Victor was predeceased by his parents Andre and Evélina Chevrier and 9 siblings.

Born on March 23, 1935, in Iroquois Falls, Victor was a valued member of the community serving as a Police officer where he earned the respect of his colleagues and the community for his unwavering commitment to justice, fairness and the safety of others. He was known for his calm demeanor in the face of adversity and his compassion towards those in need. After retiring from the force, he channeled his passion for helping others by volunteering by coaching sports, teaching fitness to seniors and most of all volunteering at the Pro Cathedral of the Assumption Church. Victor leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication and family. His gentle spirit, quiet strength and unwavering love will never be forgotten.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at HILLSIDE Funeral Services, 362 Airport Road on Friday May 21st between 10:30 and 12:30 am.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at the PRO CATHEDRAL OF THE ASSUMPTION Church, 480 McIntyre Street W on Friday May 21st , 2025 at 1:30 pm.
