In loving memory of Jeanine Power (Papineau), who passed away on September 30, 2024, at the age of 92.
Jeanine was born in North Bay, Ontario, to loving parents Louis and Georgiana (Lamothe). She was the second youngest of their eight children - Archie, Lillian, Isabelle, Simone, Elene, Laurette, and Alphonse.
On January 15, 1955, Jeanine married Paul Power (pre-deceased), son of Thomas and Elizabeth (Spratt) of Lindsay, Ontario. She is survived by their three children, Thomas (Monica), Anne, and Mark (Julie). Jeanine was adored by her grandchildren Paul, Amy, Sarah, Danilo Jr., and Quincy Jay, and by great-grandchildren Arlo, Marcus, Julius, and Delilah, all of whom brought Jeanine endless joy.
Jeanine was a kind, loving, and elegant woman, a devoted wife, wonderful mother, and a loyal sister, aunt, and friend. She approached life with enthusiasm. When her children were grown she returned to work, travelled, and enjoyed golfing, yoga, and gardening. Her gentle love of animals won over even the most reluctant rescue dogs.
She will be deeply missed.
