Passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Wednesday March 30th, 2022. Ty Van was born in Vietnam on January 1st, 1940, and moved to Canada in July 1980. He worked as a draftsman for Sutcliffe Engineering in New Liskeard and later for Northland Engineering in North Bay until his retirement. He leaves behind his wife Nguyen Nguyen, 3 sons Duc Thuan, Anthony and Thanh-Giau, daughter Phuong-Thao and his five grandchildren Tanner Van Nguyen, Courtney Smith, Addie Nguyen and Edward and Maximos Nguyen.
As per his wishes, a private family visitation and service was held. Burial has taken place at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre will be greatly acknowledged by his family. Online condolences can be made at www.hillsidefuneral.ca
