Neault, Alvina Anne (Beaudry) age 76, formerly from Chapleau, Ontario, passed away surrounded by family peacefully at the Mattawa Hospital on Monday, February 3, 2025.
A fierce advocate for women and women's rights, she dedicated herself and made a career at the Mattawa Women's Resource Centre, first as a front-line worker, then later on as their bookkeeper. She volunteered as a board member at the Whispering Pines, the North Bay Mattawa Conservation Authority and served four consecutive terms as a municipal councillor for the township of Papineau-Cameron from 2006-2022.
Alvina was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, and friend.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, William; sons, Gary and Peter, and daughters, Jennifer and April.
Preceded in death by her parents Agnes & Murril, her brother Peter, and three sisters; Merle, Renee and Rose.
Mass will be held at the St. Anne Parish Church on Saturday February 8th, 2025, at 1 pm, followed by luncheon at the Martyn & Sloan Mattawa Chapel, located at 530 McConnell St., Mattawa, Ontario, from 2pm until 4pm.
