Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of his family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Wednesday July 24, 2024, at the age of 81 years. Mike was the beloved husband of Shirley (nee Auger) Murphy and the loving father to, Mitchel Austin, Lonnie Jack Austin, Shirley Silver (Jeff), and Jennifer McMahon(Rob) Grandchildren Samantha, Jordin, Amy, (late) James,(late) Christa, Brandon, Keith and (late) Daniel and great Grandchildren, James, Austin, and Marigold. He was the brother to Rachelle Gervais (late Lloyd), Carmen Collette (Roger), Marie Anne McGinn (Owen), late Robert Murphy (Cherie), Jean Marc Murphy (Kathy), Daniel Murphy (Dawn), late Paul Murphy, and late Regis Murphy and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Henry and Audrey Murphy, and the late Lucienne(nee Miron) Murphy.
As per Mike’s wishes, cremation has taken place and memorial mass will be held at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption (North Bay) on Tuesday July 30, 2024, at 10:00 am.
