On August 30th 2024, our funny, feisty, charming Marie Alice Germaine Morris (Paulin), 89, of North Bay, passed away to our great sorrow. Germaine was predeceased by her husband Allan (Ali), her sons Carl and Douglas as well as her sisters Rita, Lea, Desneiges, Lillian and Lucille. She is survived by her brother Victor Paulin and her children Anna Marleau (Terry), Allan Morris, James Morris (estranged), Rita Morris, Sherri Warren (Bob), and Tom Morris (Stefania), as well as her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Germaine, one of seven children was born on July 2, 1935 to Rose Paulin (Myre) in North Bay, Ontario. On November 3, 1956. She and Allan wed and went on to have eight children.
Germaine, Momma, Geri-girl to her friends, Mere and Mamoose to her grandchildren, great grandchildren and their friends alike, Germaine touched many hearts in her long life. She loved nothing more than hearing stories about the lives of her loved ones and catching up with friends and family. She has been incredibly influential on the lives of those that loved her, offering her wisdom and support. She was outspoken and stubborn, and so incredibly loved.
Germaine was a staple outside at the Golden Age for the years she resided there, visiting for long hours with her friends over coffee. It is impossible to pass by without looking for her sweet face. Hopefully her friends will save her spot for her.
Services will be held at the Golden Age on September 7th, 2024 at 1-4pm
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lipi or the North Bay Food Bank.
