Monaghan, John

Posted

"A man of strong faith, John lived his life for his family - proud to be Scottish, but equally thrilled with the life he and Margaret have built in Canada. Active in his parish, in the Burns Club, summers playing golf, family camping trips, winters in Florida - these are the memories he loved. John will be long loved and remembered for his sharp wit and sense of humour."

At home, after a short illness, in his 90th year.  Beloved husband, for 61 years, of Margaret (nee McLean). Much loved father of Margaret (David), Jim (Lynn), Ann Marie (Keith), Joan (Denis) and Michael (Leette). Proud and loving Grandpa of Stephen, Catherine (Omar), Mark (Jenn), Scott (Cristina), Marianne (Matt), Michael (Danielle), Greg, Allison, Jason, Laura, Jamie, Hayley and Sarah. Great Grandpa of Lilianna and Emma. Visitors will be received from 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Wednesday February 5, 2014 at McGuinty Funeral Home, 591 Cassells St., North Bay, Ontario.
