Jean Audrey Minor (nee Napper), aged 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 23, 2024, surrounded by her family and friends. Jean was born on February 19, 1940, in Mattawa Ontario.
She married her husband, Maxime Roger Minor (Max) on August 30, 1957 and build a life filled with laughter and countless cherished memories. Max preceded her death in 2016, and now are reunited once more.
Jean's kitchen was the heart of her home; her cooking was more than just food it was an expression of her love and a way to connect with those she cared for. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and loved spending time with her family.
Jean is survived by her thee children Robert Minor, Monique Minor-caron (Gilbert), and Joanne Minor-Belanger (Guy Morin); her three grandchildren Tanya Belanger (Logan Montreuil), Jocelyne Belanger (Dan Castonguay) and Veronica Fielder (Justin); and her three great-grandchildren, Cedar, Jaxon and Elizabeth. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her dearly.
A Celebration of Jean's life will be held at St Anne's Roman Catholic church on Monday July 1, 2024 at 11a.m., followed by the internment of her ashes on the family plot at Saint Anne's Cemetery. A luncheon will be served at the Mattawa Senior Citizens Club. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Algonquin Nursing Home, a place Jean called home in her last year.
Jean will be deeply missed, but not forgotten, as her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
