Passed away at Nipissing Manor on Friday October 4th, 2024. Donalee was born on January 19, 1946 to Ralph and Eva McMillan. She is predeceased by her brothers Melvin, Allan (Irene) and Jack (Sylvia) McMillan. Survived by her brother Garnet (Dorothy). She will very greatly missed by her extended family of many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Donalee lived in Toronto for most of her life, worked at Sunnybrook Hospital in the allergy and immunology clinic then moved on to pharmaceutical sales. She had many friends and colleagues throughout her career while she lived in Toronto, including her cherished companion Dr. Allan Knight.
Donalee was an excellent seamstress and made many "christmas cakes", "shortbread cookies" for many friends and family members. She traveled extensively throughout her life but lived to spend time at the cottage. Donalee was passionate about gardening, worked extremely hard on cottage upgrades but still took time to relax at the end of the day. Family meals were always "gourmet style" and everyone enjoyed the many euchre tournaments that took place while visiting.
The family would like to thank the staff at Nipissing Manor for their care and compassion while Donalee was living at their residence. Special thank you to Dr. Rogers.
Family and friends are welcome to visit Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Rd. on Tuesday October 8th from 1pm until 3pm.
