It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Greg McDonagh (Matthew) on Sunday, May 1, at the North Bay Regional Health Centre in his 59th year.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife and best friend Lori St. Pierre and his sons Chad and Cory Tremblay whom he was so very proud of.
Brother of Peter McDonagh, Mary-Ann Prior (Bob) and late John McDonagh (Susan). He will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Mary and Matthew McDonagh.
Greg had a passion for drag racing, muscle cars and going fast and could talk cars all day long. He enjoyed world history, road trips, hunting, camping, and snowmobiling. He will be remembered for his incredible memory, generous and kind character, helping others in need, his infectious laugh and distinctive voice. Greg dreamed big and once he set his sights on something he went after it relentlessly and never gave up. He was proud of his Irish heritage and had the stubbornness to go with it. He loved animals especially his fur babies Scraps and “Sneekers”.
Out of respect for Greg’s wishes cremation has taken place at Whispering Pines Funeral Home’s crematorium. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
I would like to extend my gratitude to the nurses and doctors in CCU at North Bay Regional Health Centre. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the heart and stroke foundation or the Humane Society.
May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face May the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
