Joan passed peacefully into God’s Love and Light at Dawn on February 3, 2017 surrounded by kindness and compassion in the Hummingbird Hospice Room of the West Nipissing General Hospital, Sturgeon Falls, having bravely endured an incurable type of ovarian cancer. Joan is survived by her four Mizuik daughters Margaret, Jill, Karen (Kenneth Munro) and Cheryl, and her friend and husband Jeff Archambeault. In the Spring Joan’s ashes will be buried with her parents Evariste “Ed” and Irene (Chevrier) Martin in Chiswick, Ontario with brief ceremony (tentatively May 5 weekend, followed by a gathering for a Celebration of Life and social time.
