Passed away on February 18. (1951-2025)

His siblings Jane (Tony), Caroline (Robert), Charlotte and his nieces and nephew, Jessica (Todd), Katie (Chris), Barbara (Steve) and Peter cherish their memories of special moments with Bill. Nia, Ruby, Foster, Wyatt,  Declan and Daisy will smile when they hear the stories we will tell of their Great Uncle Billy in the years to come. He will not be forgotten.

Predeceased by his parents Peter and Shirley, Bill true to family style, had a strong bond with his hometown of North Bay through his career at Kennedy Insurance, Kennedy and Campbell Advertising, The Independent newspaper, and his community involvements at the Capitol Center, and the WKP Kennedy Gallery. He loved local politics and got involved in many electoral campaigns. An intelligent, creative, humorous, and kind man, he gave to others first always putting himself behind. Give him a problem and he loved to fix it or any project and he would make it better. He was an historian , a writer and an Orator, his words were powerful. Bill was very private in his own way; he cherished special moments. Following Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and we will celebrate his life “on the River”. Our family and his dear friends, especially John, Jeff and Maxine, will miss him, each in their own special way.

Thank you to so many, Dr. Jinnah, the wonderful staff at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice, you are all a gift. Bill always asked your name when he first met someone , “your name is the first gift you were given, what is your name ?” You never forgot his, and you never forgot ours. You listened to his voice, and were respectful, thank you.

If desired, Bill has requested donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice in his memory would be appreciated.
