February 24, 1929 - March 25, 2004 - On March 25, 2004, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in his 76th year, Cedric Hummel lost his courageous battle with cancer. Cedric is the loving husband of Doris (Cashmore) Hummel. He is survived by his mother Rose Carr of Trout Creek, Ontario. Beloved father of Brian Hummel, John (Gwen) Hummel, Judy (Bill) Ramsay, Debbie (Gary) Shute, Joanne (Terry) Conklin, Linda (Leonard) Pressick, Shirley (Rob) Conklin, Cathy (Jamie) Case and Peter Hummel. Stepfather of Christine Martin. Very special grandpa of Alex and Angie Case, also cherished grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Eileen (Roy) Thompson, Capreol, Ontario, Mona (Earnest) Mandusiak, Victoria, British Columbia, and Pat Chouinor, North Bay, Ontario. Predeceased by sons, Bruce and David Hummel and stepdaughter Kathy Crawford. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. in Fairview Cemetery. At the request of the family, donations may be made to Palliative Care, Greater Niagara General Hospital, Niagara Falls Humane Society or charity of your choice.
