Dorothy died peacefully, at Cassellholme, North Bay, on Saturday, September 17, 2022. She was 93 years old.
Formerly of Commanda and Powassan, Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Hattie (Haufe) and George F. Hanselman; and siblings Hugo (the late Mary), Clara Young (the late Ernie), George O. (the late Irene), Reynold, Marie Haigh (the late Alfred), Stanley (the late Juanita) and Lloyd (the late Olga). She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and her special friend Louella New.
The Hanselman family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 9:30 to 11:00 followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Commanda Cemetery at 1:30 pm. Should you wish to make a charitable donation in memory of Dorothy, a local animal shelter or the Nipissing Serenity Hospice are suggested.
