Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of her family at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the age of 90 years.
Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Barry Gushue and dear friend to Angus Thompson, she was the loving mother to Gordon Gushue (Mary), Meg McNaughton (Walter), Clary Gushue, and Janet Gushue (Ron). She was the cherished grandmother to John, Andrew, Isaac, Kari-Lee, Bailey, and great-grandmother to Zachary, Samara, Shelby, Jaylee, Felix, and Henry. Margaret loved her many nieces and nephews. Margaret is pre-deceased by her parents Clarence Cohn and Jessie (nee Nickel) Cohn.
As per Margaret’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at the Callander Legion on Sunday 25 August from 1pm to 4pm, with the Legion service beginning at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
