Passed away peacefully at her Newmarket residence surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the age of 98 years. Beloved wife of the late Alfredo Greco. Dear mother of Gabe Greco (Kelly) and Anthony Greco (Teresa). Loving grandmother of Nicole (Matt), Christopher, Gabriel (Emily), Johanna (John), and Giulia (Nazar).

Predeceased by her parents Stefano and Maria (nee Scarfone) Zimbalatte, brothers Tony Zimbalatte and Rocci Zimbalatte (Constance), and sisters Mally Dellaca (Fred), Vera Zimbalatte, Josephine Priolo (Raffaele), and Geraldine Dyer (Thomson).

Born and raised in North Bay, Rose enjoyed a long and happy life raising her family and working at the Ministry of Natural Resources.  After retirement, she enjoyed hosting and visiting her grandchildren, driving all over North Bay with her sisters, and going on trips with her good friend Gloria Demarco as part of the Canadian Club.  After the last of her siblings passed, Rose moved to Newmarket to be close to her son Anthony and his family, who kept her very busy with countless visits, excursions, and events.  She also thrived at her senior’s residence, making many new friends and endearing herself to the staff with her pleasant nature and strong wit.  She even learned to use an iPad at the age of 91 so she could stay connected to the goings-on in North Bay and get the latest news on her beloved Toronto Maple Leafs, who sadly never rewarded her loyalty.  Rose was very sharp until her final days, eagerly discussing politics, religion, hockey, and current events with ease, and strong opinions.  She will be remembered always and deeply missed.

The family will receive visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, between the hours of 1:00pm and 4:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 10:00am. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, North Bay.

If desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada would be gratefully appreciated by her family. Online condolences can be made at www.mcguintyfuneralhome.com
