It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alice Gravelle on February 18th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Our beloved spouse, mother, mother-in-law, memere, aunt and friend.
Born July 7th, 1947, in Mattawa, Alice is predeceased by her loving parents, Guy and Noella Ranger (nee Therrien), and her dear sister Monique Bangs (nee Ranger), Alice is survived by her devoted spouse of 56 years, Robert, and her children Allain/Fonce (Linda), Nicole/Cocotte (Rick), and Lise/Lizzy (Robbie), her beloved grandchildren Nathan (Courtney), Megan (Chase), Karlee (Zack), Carson (Mackenzie), and Casey (Taylor), as well as her great-grandchildren Cyllis and Cooper. She also leaves behind her brothers Joffre (Madeliene), Jean-Guy (Rosalind), and Dave (Michelle), along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Alice was the glue to our family. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
Alice cherished her kids and grandkids above all else, finding immense joy in their presence. Known for her vibrant personality, spunk, compassion, and deep love, she made a lasting impact on all around her.
As we reflect on our memories with Alice, our wife and mother, let us honour her legacy and the enduring spirit of love she shared. Though she is no longer with us, the memories and love she imparted will continue to resonate in the lives she touched. While we mourn her physical absence, we take solace in the knowledge that she will always be remembered for the beauty and warmth she brought into the world.
A Memorial Service for Alice will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 11:00am at St. Annes Roman Catholic Church in Mattawa, with a luncheon to follow at the Golden Age – Mattawa.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice’s Memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
