It is with heavy hearts that the family of William John (Bill) Grainger, age 80, announce his passing on Friday, January 28, 2022, at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice, following a brief illness. The family is extremely grateful for the support and compassion the staff at the Hospice provided Bill during his final hours. The son of J.F. Grainger and Anne Sadick, he is survived by his daughters, Gillian (Bobenic) and Jennifer (Rogers), their mother Betty (Dibartolomeo), and his sister Barbara (Donald) Hogan. He will be lovingly remembered by his three grandchildren, Molly, Scott and Jacob. Bill first began his advertising career at a very young age working for his father, J.F. Grainger at the North Bay Nugget. He later continued his sales career working for Earl Turner with Plough Inc. Billy will be remembered for his quick wit, great sense of humour and love of Elvis. Cremation followed by a Memorial Visitation will take place in the early spring to honour his memory. Online condolences may be made at www.mcguintyfuneralhome.com. If desired, donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
