Peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of his family at Nipissing Manor (Corbeil) on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the age of 82 years. David is the beloved husband of 61 years to Claudette (nee Gauthier) Giroux, and dear father to John Giroux (Leanne), Suzette Brown (John), Jacqueline Giroux, and Annette Leader (Roy). He will be missed by his grandchildren Tanya Giroux, Kyle Giroux, Jonathan Brown, Joshua Brown, Katelyn Brown and four great-grandchildren. David is survived by his siblings Dan, Raymonde, Jeannine, Reginald, and Gabriel. Dear brother of Louise Bilodeau (Jules deceased), Daniel (Rollande), Raymonde Rancourt (Conrad), Jeannine Guillemette (Roger deceased), Gabriel (Rex), Reginald (Donna). Predeceased by his parents; John and Regina (Bourque) Giroux. Predeceased by siblings; Gerard (Nicole), Julia Bastien (Julien), Marguerite Champagne (Donat deceased), Flora Taillefer (Georges), Marie-Anne Landry (Edmond deceased), Bernadette Lebel (Victor deceased), Rhea, Rose Bilodeau (Henri), Andre, Rheal, Gerald (Viviane), Michel, and Collette Gravelle (Raymond). The family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Thursday, October 3, 2024, between the hours of 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A celebration of life will be held at McGuinty Funeral Home (North Bay) on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 11 am.
