Passed away on September 11, 2024, at the North Bay Regional Health Centre.
Husband of the late Rose-Marie (nee Giroux). Loving father of Rheal (Linda) of Renfrew, Michel of Fort Erie, and Suzanne Schmitt of Cochrane, Alberta. He will be remembered by his step-children Kimberley Boudreault (Dennis), Katherine Saucier and Gerald Saucier (Shannon) all of North Bay. He will be sadly missed by his brother Jean-Louis Gilbert (Olivette). He was predeceased by his sons Remi and Patrick (Lori), his parents Joseph and Alexina Gilbert and his 5 brothers & 4 sisters. He will be lovingly remembered by his many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.
If desired, donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation or a Charity of Choice would be appreciated. Respecting Bernie's wishes there will be no visitation or services. His ashes will be interred at the All-Saints Mausoleum.
