GIBSON, Helen

Passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, in her 89th year.  She was the beloved wife of the late Gerald Gibson.  She was predeceased by granddaughter Alison Gibson. Lovingly remembered and will be sadly missed by her children Gail Davis (Phil) of King Kirkland, ON and Chuck (Cathie) of Warman, SK, grandchildren Sherry (George), Cindy (Dan), Meagan and Hayley, great-grandchildren Nicholas, Dylan and Kaitlyn. She will be also missed by her many friends at Marina Point Retirement Residence North Bay, ON. Helen worked for many years at the CIBC branch in Virginiatown, ON.  She was held hostage in the great bank robbery of 1972.  After retirement in 1982, Helen & Gerry relocated to North Bay, ON where they enjoyed many years of travelling on sun holidays. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Floor C3 at North Bay Regional Health Centre. At Helen’s request there will be no visitation or service.  Cremation will take place at Forest Lawn Crematorium.  Helen’s ashes will be interred in the family plot in New Liskeard in the spring.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to Martyn Funeral Home.  If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.  Online condolences at www.martynfh.com
