It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Angela (Anne) Fowler (nee Sullivan) on June 13, 2018 at Cassellholme in North Bay. Anne was the loving wife of Hilton who predeceased her on Feb. 3, 2013, they had been married for 59 years. She was the proud and loving mother of Patricia Graham (James) of North Bay, Blair of Pickle Lake, Judy Welsh (Stephen) of Espanola and Kelly Thomas (Darren) of New Dundee. She was the loving grandmother of seven grandchildren, David Welsh (Krista), Erin Welsh (Rob Dufour), Theresa, Scott and Shelagh Graham, and Megan and Jason Thomas. Anne also had three great-grandchildren, Charlotte Welsh and Aiden and Sebastian Dufour.

Anne was born on September 21, 1925 on the family farm near Palmer Rapids, Ontario to James Sullivan and Julia Helferty. She was the last surviving one of their eleven children. Anne learned the value of a strong faith and honest, hard work growing up in this Irish household and carried these beliefs and values throughout her life. Despite some major health issues as a young mother, she carried on and always provided guidance and wise counsel to her children.

Anne and Hilton enjoyed their many years in Lively and Copper Cliff, their family camp on Long Lake and their love of curling, golf and a good bridge game. They moved to North Bay in 2010 to be closer to family supports and enjoyed living at Marina Point, then with family and later at Cassellholme. Our family extends a special thank you to the caring staff of Apple Street for the compassionate care provided to our mother.

Family will be receiving friends at HILLSIDE FUNERAL SERVICES on Monday June 18th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St Peter the Apostle Church in North Bay on Tuesday June 19th at 10 am. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Anne made to the Alzheimer Society or the Nipissing Serenity Hospice will be gratefully acknowledged by her family.
