Peter David Farrow passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Nipissing Manor Nursing Care Centre in Corbeil, Ontario, at the age of 77. Peter was the beloved spouse of Brenda Burgess, his partner for 42 years, and a devoted father to Selena Cairns and Spencer Farrow (Andrew). He was a cherished grandfather to Sierra, Kameron, and Jada.
Peter will be lovingly remembered by his siblings: Judy Marshall (Wayne), Alvin Farrow (Kathy), Donna Farrow, Holly Farrow, and Paul Greco (Jennifer), along with many nieces and nephews: Sean, Kelly, Kim, Meagan, Mitchell, Jamie, Jennifer, Sarah, Corey, Julie, Rob Jr., Michael, Derek, Dain, Kiri, Nathan, Laura, Erin, Jana, Graeme, and Avalena. He was predeceased by his brothers Rick Rowe (Sue), Rob Farrow (Anna), and Geoffrey Farrow, as well as his parents, David Farrow and Estella (Rowe/Farrow) Greco.
Peter dedicated 30 years to the North Bay Fire Department, where he retired as a Fire Captain in 2001. Known for his deep love of animals, Peter and Brenda ran "Sweet Baby Haven Doggie Camp" on their beloved 100-acre property in Callander, Ontario, from 1996 to 2019, caring for countless dogs as if they were their own. A true "Jack-of-All-Trades", Peter took immense pride in maintaining their property, spending countless hours repairing fences, landscaping, and building welcoming spaces for family gatherings. He especially loved playing with his grandchildren while sharing the natural beauty of their home. A skilled 2nd Degree Black Belt in Karate and a dedicated Instructor, Peter brought the same care and passion to his teaching as he did to his home and family.
Peter will be deeply missed by the entire Burgess and Farrow families. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. If desired, donations to the North Bay Humane Society would be gratefully acknowledged by his family. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Nipissing Manor for their compassionate care.
