It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister Wendy. She peacefully passed away at Waters Edge Care Community on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at the age of 69 years. Wendy was a second mom to almost everyone she interacted with and loved to be around family. She enjoyed music and you could often hear her listening to Neil Diamond or Abba and dancing. Originally born in North Bay, she moved and spent many years in Barrie and was a cook at private school and was loved and cherished by the students who adored her meals and her mothering way. Later on, she became an Early Childhood Educator (ECE), continuing her passion in educating future generations. She had a cute laugh and brought happiness to all those around her. She returned to North Bay and has been there for the last few years. Wendy was the loving mother to the late Sean Ellerton, and the cherished grandmother to Gavin, Logan, Kaitlyn and Zarah. She will be lovingly remembered by her brother Chris (Louise) Lamabe, Greg (Cindy) Lamabe, Donald Lamabe, and Ronald Lamabe. She is pre-deceased by her parents John Lamabe, Millicent (nee Daly) Lamabe and her brother, John Lamabe Jr. and her sister, Kimberly Lamabe.
