(July 8, 1934 - April 23, 2020) - It is with heavy hearts that the Dahlke Family announces the passing of their patriarch Ulrich on April 23, 2020 at the age of 85. Ulrich passed away peacefully in his sleep.
Born in Baruth Germany in 1934, Ulrich (Ollie) immigrated to Canada in 1956 and was one of five children, Siblings: Brothers Gerhardt (deceased) and Dieter (deceased), Sisters Waltraut and Irene, who both reside in Sweden. Ollie will be lovingly remembered by Ruth (Nick), his children, James Dahlke (Karen), Jason Dahlke and Michelle Brady (Mike). He will be fondly remembered by his three grandchildren, Christopher, Montanna and Maggie and his special friend Anya and her Family.
Ollie was an avid soccer player in his younger years and played semi-pro. He was a huge Toronto Maple Leafs Fan, loved his Ford Thunderbirds and had a soft spot for cats, especially his beloved Wendel.Thank you to Extendicare York (2nd & 4th Floors) in Sudbury for your care and support of our dear "Ducky", the nickname that stuck with him from his first day there, when it became difficult to pronunciate his last name.
Cremation has taken place. Family will celebrate his life once the pandemic restrictions have been lifted. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd. Online condolences can be posted at www.RangersSudbury.com.
