CROCKFORD, James William (Jim)

The Crockford family sadly announces Jim’s death on Friday December 30, 2016. He died peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 77 years, and after several years of declining health.  For the past  52 years he has been the loving and devoted husband to Margaret (nee Ellis). He was the proud and loving father of Allen, who predeceased him in 2003, Jamie and his wife Laurie-Ann of Keswick, and Lisa Smith and her husband Wayde, of North Bay, and the loved grandfather of Jesse, Taylor, Kennedy, Autumn and Angus.  He is also survived by his brother Ernest, and sister Jane Anne, and was predeceased by his brother John (late Myrna).  Jim was a proud member of the North Bay Fire Department, retiring in 1996 after 31 years of service.  An avid hunter and fisherman Jim was a senior member of the Mitchell Lake Hunt Club. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Basic Cremation Services. If desired donations to the Heart & Stroke Fund will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
