Robert "Bob" Couroux passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025, at the age of 70 while surrounded by family at Eastholme (Powassan) after a long battle of HSP. (Hereditary spastic paraplegia).
Robert "Bob" was born on October 27, 1954, to parents Anita and Homer Couroux and spent his life growing up in Redbridge, ON.
A man of many talents. Bob worked many years at Metso minerals and spent his off-time hunting, fishing, camping, adventuring off with his four-wheeler, creating beautiful woodwork, and splitting wood. He also could be found cheering his favorite hockey and baseball team on the side lines, listening to hours of endless music and shared many stories/memories around the fire with friends and family.
He is survived by his 4 children Ashley (Scott), Kathleen (George), Christopher (Terri) and Stephen along with Grandchildren (Lexus, Brianna and Tyler). He is survived by his siblings; Dan (Kelli), Andrew (Cathy), Sue (Dave), Lise (Tom), Paulette (Brian), Lucille (Arthur), Cecile and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife, Suzanne Gravelle-Couroux, his parents Anita and Homer Couroux and sister Vivian along with aunts and uncles.
Robert's family would like to thank the staff on the South Wing of Eastholme (Powassan) for the incredible care, support and endless heartfelt laughs over the years. The family would also like to thank Dr. M. Leckie for his kindness, his empathy, support, sense of humor and friendship and Dr. R. Trenker for devoting his time and care over the past years. As per Robert’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held in September 2025 (details to be announced).
