It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Linda, who died at home November 1 at the age of 63.
Linda is survived by her adoring husband of 39 years John Colyer, her son David (Renee) and by her father Bill Scaife, sister Betty Stickle (Paul) and brother Bill Scaife. She will be dearly missed by her sister-in-law Bev Roy, nieces Janet Lynch, Robyn Tarshis (Jason), Marnie Brunette (Pete), Jayme Burke, Jennifer & Jessica Stickle and Emily Scaife, nephews Steven Colyer and Kelvin Scaife and extended family Carol and Tina McKean.
Despite Linda’s health issues over the past several years, she fought it so vigorously to the end. She was so looking forward to meeting her first grandchild, due in January.
Linda was known for her creativity, wit and humour and loved to share that with her many close friends in Ottawa and North Bay.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation or the Queensway Carleton Hospital, Ottawa.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held in the Spring of 2022. Linda’s ashes will be placed lakeside at the cottage.
